Daedalus Style Guide

The Daedalus Style Guide (DSG) is a set of standards for making documents and boilerplates at Daedalus.

Overview

The Daedalus Style Guide (DSG) is loosely based on APA 7 and MOS, which are among the most common style guides used for general documents and online wiki articles.

This style guide is meant to be an easy-to-follow writing format that people inexperienced with writing can use without much training. It should be simple enough that high school users can follow it while people who are already familiar with APA 7 can use with little to no adjustment.

And unlike MOS, this guide is primarily focused on writing articles in GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM) format. The reason for that being how highly-integrated GitHub is in our workflow, as well as our wiki needing Original Markdown to work.

In the future, we might also include standards for using MDX. But for now, we'll have to focus on the GFM-based part of the guide.
